You just take the leaf clippings and put them in a small pot with sterile potting soil.  This auction is for 12 leaf clippings!   I started my Jade plant off from a clipping from a friend as well. His Jade plant is over 25 years old and is as hardy as can be. The plant grows fast and will produce a small pink/white flower. Jade plants do need plenty of sun so be sure to place them in a sunny window or sunny location outside. They're great houseplants and you can continuously clip leaves and stick in dirt to grow more. I recommend a grown hormone and steril potting soil to start them off but, it's not neccessary. I reside in southern California where the climate is arid and Jade clippings grow in sandy locations. Fertilizer is not needed. If you give a Jade plant plenty of sunlight and a good watering every now and again, your plant will last you a life time with plenty to share.
